Meat Samosa
Meat samosas are a popular Indian snack food made with spiced lamb and vegetables. They can be served with drinks or as a main course.
Ingredients
1 pound ground lamb
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped cilantro
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, cilantro, cumin, coriander, garam masala, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and water to form a dough.
3. Divide the dough into 24 equal pieces. Roll each piece out into a 4-inch circle.
4. Place 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center of each circle of dough. Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal.
5. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F. Fry the samosas in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
6. Drain the samosas on paper towels and serve immediately.
