The Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday that celebrates the harvest moon. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, which is usually in September or October.
On this day, families gather together to eat moon cakes, a special type of pastry that is filled with sweet bean paste. They also light lanterns and gaze up at the moon, which is said to be especially round and bright on this night.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for families to come together and celebrate the harvest. It is also a time to reflect on the beauty of nature and the importance of family.
The Rabbits
Two little rabbits were looking up at the moon. They were very hungry, and they wished they could eat some moon cakes.
"I wish we could have some moon cakes," said one rabbit.
"Me too," said the other rabbit. "They look so delicious."
Just then, a kind old woman came by. She saw the rabbits and smiled.
"Would you like some moon cakes?" she asked.
The rabbits were so happy! They hopped up and down and said, "Yes, please!"
The old woman gave the rabbits two moon cakes each. The rabbits were so excited, they ate the moon cakes up in a hurry.
"Thank you," said the rabbits. "Those were delicious!"
The old woman smiled and said, "You're welcome. I'm glad I could help."
The rabbits hopped away, happy and full. They had a wonderful time celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with their new friend.
