The film was centered on a game where the players had to cut each other off using motor bikes that left a line behind them. Another way to describe Tron is that it was a film about a programmer who entered a computer simulation where he had to compete in a dangerous game. The film was notable for its groundbreaking use of computer-generated imagery (CGI).
