In the Dead of Night The forest is dark and silent. The only sound is the crunch of leaves underfoot as you cautiously make your way through the trees. You are alone, and you know that the zombies are out there, waiting for you. You have to be careful. One wrong move and you're dead. You have to keep your wits about you and stay focused on your goal: to survive. You reach your house and quickly barricade the doors and windows. You know that it won't hold them for long, but it will buy you some time. You need to find a way to escape. You search your house for weapons and supplies. You find a gun, some ammunition, and a first aid kit. You also find a map of the area. You study the map and plot your course. You know that the nearest town is about 10 miles away. It's a long way, but it's your only chance. You pack your things and head out the door. You know that the zombies are close behind you. You have to hurry. You run through the forest, the zombies hot on your heels. You fire your gun, but it's not enough. They're too close. You trip and fall. The zombies are on you. You can feel their hot breath on your skin. You close your eyes and wait for the end. But then, you hear a noise. You open your eyes and see a car coming towards you. The car stops and a man gets out. He helps you to your feet and into the car. You're safe. You've escaped the zombies. You look back at the forest and see the zombies still chasing you. But you know that you're safe now. You're going to make it.
