Far beneath the waves, there lived a very beautiful creature. She was a mermaid, and her name was Ariel. Ariel was the daughter of King Triton, the ruler of the sea. Ariel was a kind and gentle mermaid, but she was also very curious about the world above the sea. She longed to see the human world, and she dreamed of one day living on land. One day, Ariel was swimming near the surface of the water when she saw a group of humans. She was fascinated by them, and she listened intently as they talked and laughed. She learned that humans could walk on land, and that they had many different kinds of interesting inventions. Ariel was determined to learn more about the human world, and she decided that she would find a way to get to land. Ariel knew that her father would never allow her to go to the human world, so she decided to ask her friend Flounder for help. Flounder was a young, playful fish, and he was always up for a good adventure. He agreed to help Ariel, and together they devised a plan. The next day, Ariel and Flounder swam to the surface of the water and hid in a small boat. The boat was carrying a group of humans, and Ariel watched them carefully as they sailed away. She learned that the humans were going to a place called the beach, and she decided that this was where she would go. When the boat reached the beach, Ariel swam out of hiding and onto the sand. She was amazed by everything she saw. The sun was shining, the waves were crashing, and the sand was warm beneath her feet. Ariel felt like she was in a dream. Ariel spent the day exploring the beach. She played in the waves, swam in the ocean, and built sandcastles. She met many different kinds of humans, and she learned a lot about their world. As the day turned to night, Ariel realized that she had to go home. She said goodbye to her new friends, and she swam back to the sea. She was sad to leave the human world, but she knew that she would never forget her adventure. Ariel returned to her home, and she told her father all about her trip to the human world. King Triton was furious, and he punished Ariel by taking away her voice. Ariel was heartbroken, but she knew that she had to find a way to get back to the human world. Ariel met a young man named Eric, and she fell in love with him. Eric loved Ariel too, but he didn't know that she was a mermaid. Ariel knew that she had to tell Eric the truth, but she was afraid that he would reject her. One day, Ariel saved Eric from drowning. Eric was grateful to Ariel, and he asked her to marry him. Ariel was overjoyed, and she accepted Eric's proposal. Ariel knew that she could never marry Eric without her voice, so she went to see Ursula, the sea witch. Ursula agreed to give Ariel her voice back, but she had a price. Ursula wanted Ariel's tail, and she promised to turn Ariel into a human for three days. After three days, Ariel would become Ursula's prisoner. Ariel agreed to Ursula's terms, and she was transformed into a human. She married Eric, and they lived happily ever after.
