She sat on the edge of the bed, her feet dangling over the side. She had been sitting there for hours, ever since her parents had told her that they were getting a divorce. She didn't know what she was going to do. She didn't want to live with her mom, and she didn't want to live with her dad. She wanted to be adopted. She had always dreamed of being adopted. She thought it would be so much better than living with her parents. She would have a new family who would love her and take care of her. She wouldn't have to worry about her parents fighting anymore. She knew that it wasn't easy to get adopted. There were a lot of other kids who wanted to be adopted too. But she was determined to make it happen. She would write letters to adoption agencies and she would go to adoption fairs. She would do whatever it took to find a family who would love her. One day, she was at an adoption fair when she met a woman named Sarah. Sarah was a single mom who was looking to adopt a child. She and She hit it off right away. They talked for hours and they both felt like they had found a kindred spirit. Sarah ended up adopting She and they quickly became a family. She loved her new mom and she loved her new brother and sister. She finally had the family she had always wanted.
