You are lost in a dark forest, the trees towering over you like giants. The only sound is the crunch of your footsteps on the leaves. You shiver, not from the cold, but from fear. You know that something is out there, watching you. You can feel its eyes on you, even though you can't see it. You start to run, but it's too late. The creature is on you, its cold, sharp claws slashing at your skin. You scream in pain, but it doesn't stop. It drags you deeper into the forest, where you will be its next victim. You are dead. Or so you think. You open your eyes and find yourself in a strange place. It's a forest, but it's not the same forest you were in before. The trees are shorter, the leaves are greener, and the sun is shining. You take a deep breath and feel the warm air on your skin. You're alive. You don't know how you got here, but you're not going to question it. You're just going to be grateful that you're alive. You start to walk, and soon you come to a clearing. In the middle of the clearing is a house. It's a small house, but it looks cozy. You walk up to the door and knock. The door opens, and a woman steps out. She's smiling, and she looks kind. "Hello," she says. "I'm glad you're here." "I'm glad to be here," you say. "Come in," she says. "Let me get you something to eat." You follow her into the house, and she leads you to the kitchen. She gives you a bowl of soup, and you sit down at the table to eat it. "So," she says, "what's your name?" "My name is (your name)," you say. "It's nice to meet you, (your name)," she says. "My name is (her name)." "It's nice to meet you too," you say. You finish your soup, and (her name) takes your bowl to the sink. "So," she says, "what are you doing out here all alone?" You tell her about how you were lost in the forest, and how you were attacked by the creature. "That's terrible," she says. "But you're safe now." "I know," you say. "Thank you." "You're welcome," she says. "Now, why don't you go get some rest? You look exhausted." You go to the room that (her name) showed you, and you lie down on the bed. You close your eyes and fall asleep. When you wake up, the sun is shining through the window. You get out of bed and go to the window. You look out and see the forest. You smile. You're glad to be alive. You go downstairs and find (her name) in the kitchen. She's making breakfast. "Good morning," she says. "How did you sleep?" "I slept well," you say. "Good," she says. "Now, come and eat some breakfast." You sit down at the table and (her name) gives you a plate of eggs and bacon. You eat your breakfast and then you help (her name) clean up the kitchen. After breakfast, you go outside and explore the forest. You find a path that leads you to a stream. You sit down on a rock and watch the water flow by. You feel at peace. You know that you'll never forget what happened to you, but you're also grateful for the second chance that you've been given. You're determined to live your life to the fullest.
