She closes her eyes and lets the darkness wash over her. It's like a warm blanket, enveloping her and protecting her from the world outside. She feels at peace here, in this place where no one can see her or judge her. She can be herself, without fear of being rejected or misunderstood. The darkness is a part of her, just as much as the light is. She needs both to feel whole. The darkness is her strength, her power. It's what makes her who she is. She opens her eyes and looks out at the world. The sun is shining, and the birds are singing. But she doesn't feel the need to join them. She's content to stay in the darkness, where she feels safe and loved.
