Debbie's father owned a small hotel in the middle of town. He had recently abandoned the business, and Debbie wanted to take it over. She had a plan to rebuild the hotel and reopen it before it was shut down in eight days. Debbie's father had left the hotel in a state of disrepair. The rooms were dirty and the furniture was old and outdated. Debbie knew that she would have to do a lot of work to get the hotel ready to reopen. She started by cleaning the rooms and replacing the furniture. She also repainted the walls and put new carpeting down. Once the rooms were finished, she turned her attention to the lobby. She added new furniture and decorations, and she made sure that the front desk was well-stocked with brochures and maps. Debbie also worked on marketing the hotel. She put up flyers around town and she advertised in the local newspaper. She also offered discounts to guests who booked their stay in advance. Thanks to Debbie's hard work, the hotel was ready to reopen in time. On the day of the reopening, Debbie was excited to see how the hotel would do. She was even more excited when she saw that the hotel was fully booked. Debbie's father was proud of what she had accomplished. He knew that she had saved the hotel and that it would continue to be a success in the years to come.
