"Rise and shine, Dora! It's time for school!" Dora yawned and stretched. "Okay, Mom," she said. "I'm up." Dora's mom helped her get dressed and pack her backpack. Then they headed out the door. "Have a great day at school, Dora!" her mom called as she waved goodbye. Dora walked to school with her friends, Boots and Benny. They talked and laughed as they went. When they got to school, Dora went to her locker and got her books. Then she went to her seat and waited for the teacher to start class. Dora loved school. She loved learning new things and making new friends. She was always excited to come to school each day. After school, Dora went to her after-school program. She played games, did arts and crafts, and read books. When it was time to go home, Dora said goodbye to her friends and got on the bus. Dora was tired when she got home, but she was also happy. She had had a great day at school. She went inside and hugged her mom. "I had a great day at school!" she said. Her mom smiled. "I'm glad," she said. "Now go get ready for bed." Dora went to her room and changed into her pajamas. Then she brushed her teeth and got into bed. As she drifted off to sleep, Dora thought about all the fun she had had at school that day. She couldn't wait to do it all again tomorrow.
