A New Dress for a Special Girl A young girl sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the pile of clothes in front of her. She had been tasked with choosing a dress for her upcoming dance recital, and she was feeling overwhelmed. There were so many different options, and she didn't know which one would be best. Her mother sat down next to her and put an arm around her. "Don't worry," she said. "We'll find the perfect dress for you." The girl sighed. "I don't know," she said. "I just want to look like a princess." Her mother smiled. "You will," she said. "You're already a princess, sweetheart. Just look in the mirror." The girl looked in the mirror and saw a reflection of herself. She was a pretty girl, with long, flowing hair and big, blue eyes. She was wearing a simple dress, but she looked like a princess. "You're right," she said. "I do look like a princess." Her mother smiled again. "I told you," she said. "Now, let's go find that dress." The girl and her mother went to the store, and they found the perfect dress for the recital. It was a beautiful, flowing gown, made of soft, white fabric. The girl put it on and looked in the mirror. She couldn't believe how beautiful she looked. "I love it," she said. "It's perfect." Her mother smiled. "I'm glad you like it," she said. "Now, go show your father." The girl ran out to the living room, where her father was waiting for her. When he saw her, he couldn't believe his eyes. "You look like a princess," he said. "The most beautiful princess in the world." The girl smiled. "Thank you, Daddy," she said. "I feel like a princess." The girl and her parents went to the recital, and the girl danced like a princess. She twirled and jumped and smiled, and everyone in the audience couldn't take their eyes off her. She was the most beautiful girl there, and she knew it. After the recital, the girl went home and put on her pajamas. She lay down on her bed and looked up at the ceiling. She thought about how much fun she had had at the recital, and how happy she was that she had found the perfect dress. She knew that she would never forget this night.
