Winchester the Bear Winchester the bear was preparing for winter. He was going to hibernate, and he needed to make sure he had enough food to last him through the long months. He gathered nuts and berries, and he hunted for small animals. He also stored up honey and other sweet treats. When he was finally satisfied with his food supply, Winchester went to bed. He curled up in his cave and fell asleep. He slept for many months, until the springtime. When Winchester woke up, the world was warm and green again. He was hungry, so he went out to find food. He found berries and nuts, and he caught a few fish. He also found a beehive, and he ate all the honey inside. Winchester was happy to be awake again. He spent the summer playing and swimming. He also went on adventures with his friends. He had a great time, and he was glad that he had made it through the winter.
