Frankenstein is a monster, but he is also a man. He is a creature of both science and nature, and he is as much a victim of his creator's hubris as he is a monster in his own right. As such, he is a blank canvas upon which we can project our own fears and desires. We can dress him up however we want, and he will become whatever we need him to be. To some, Frankenstein is a symbol of evil. He is the embodiment of our darkest fears, the creature that lurks in the shadows, waiting to pounce. He is the monster that we create when we play God. To others, Frankenstein is a tragic figure. He is a victim of circumstance, a creature who was abandoned by his creator and left to fend for himself in a world that he does not understand. He is the monster that we create when we turn our backs on our own humanity. But no matter how we dress him up, Frankenstein is always more than just a monster. He is a reminder of our own potential for greatness, and our own capacity for evil. He is a warning of the dangers of playing God, and a reminder that we are all responsible for the creatures that we create.
