In a time before time, in a land far away, there lived a race of fair-haired people who were rich in gold and furs. They called their land the Kingdom of Saguenay. All was well in the kingdom until one day, a great swarm of bee-creeps descended upon the land and began to devour everything in sight. The people of the kingdom were helpless against the onslaught of the bee-creeps, and soon their entire way of life was destroyed. The few survivors of the attack fled to the mountains, where they lived in hiding for many years. Eventually, they banded together and formed a new kingdom, which they called the Kingdom of the North. This new kingdom was strong and prosperous, and it never again fell victim to the bee-creeps. The story of the Kingdom of Saguenay is a reminder that even the strongest and most prosperous of civilizations can be brought to ruin by a single, unexpected threat. It is also a reminder that even in the darkest of times, hope can always be found.
