Marshmallows in a Jungle Two marshmallows, one big and one small, were playing in the forest when they got lost. They wandered around for hours, trying to find their way back home, but they only got more and more lost. As night fell, the marshmallows became scared. They huddled together for warmth and tried to sleep, but they were too afraid to close their eyes. They knew that there were all sorts of dangerous creatures in the jungle, and they didn't want to be eaten. In the morning, the marshmallows woke up to the sound of birds singing. They looked around and saw that they were in a clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a small cottage. The marshmallows cautiously approached the cottage. They peeked inside and saw an old woman sitting at a table. The old woman looked up and smiled at the marshmallows. "Hello," she said. "What are you doing out here all alone?" "We're lost," said the big marshmallow. "Can you help us find our way home?" "Of course," said the old woman. "I'll help you, but first you must help me." "What can we do?" asked the small marshmallow. "You must fetch me some firewood," said the old woman. "There is a pile of wood behind the cottage." The marshmallows went behind the cottage and gathered some firewood. They brought it back to the old woman, who thanked them and built a fire in the fireplace. "Now," said the old woman, "tell me where you live." The marshmallows told the old woman where they lived, and she gave them directions on how to get home. "Thank you," said the marshmallows. "We'll never forget your kindness." The marshmallows waved goodbye to the old woman and set off for home. They followed the old woman's directions, and soon they were back in their own neighborhood. The marshmallows were so happy to be home. They ran inside and told their parents all about their adventure. "We're so glad you're safe," said their parents. "We were worried about you." The marshmallows hugged their parents and told them how grateful they were for their help. The marshmallows learned a valuable lesson that day. They learned that it's important to be careful when you're exploring new places, and that it's always good to be kind to strangers.
