I know I've been telling you about all the delicious recipes my mom used to make for me, and today I'm going to show you how to make another one of my favorites. These are called Minnie's Polka Dot Cookies, and they're so much fun to make. My mom knew that Minnie Mouse was my favorite cartoon character, so she named them after her. Here's what you'll need: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup milk Red food coloring White chocolate chips Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. 4. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the milk until a dough forms. 5. Divide the dough in half. Roll out each half to a thickness of about 1/4 inch. Cut out circles using a 2-inch cookie cutter. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet. 6. Use a toothpick to dip each cookie into the red food coloring, then sprinkle with white chocolate chips. 7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!"
