Haruka grew up in a small town where she was the only otaku. She was bullied by her classmates for her interests, and she eventually withdrew from social interaction. However, Haruka found solace in her anime and manga, and she eventually developed a strong love for these forms of media. When Haruka moved to a new city for high school, she was determined to start over and make new friends. She joined the anime club and started attending conventions, and she slowly began to come out of her shell. Haruka is a complex and relatable character who is both an otaku and a social outcast. She is a reminder that otaku come from all walks of life, and that they are not all the same.
