She was dressed in a simple gown of green, but it seemed to glow with her own inner light. She stood in the shadows, watching the humans go about their daily lives. She was fascinated by them, and she longed to join them. But she knew that they would never accept her, not because of her race, but because of her beauty. She was too different from them.
