Thanksgiving is coming up soon, and it's time to start planning your feast! One of the most important parts of any Thanksgiving meal is the dessert, and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious pumpkin pie? This recipe is easy to follow and produces a pie that is sure to be a hit with your family and friends. Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup canned pumpkin puree 1 cup heavy cream Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. 3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the pumpkin puree and heavy cream until smooth. 4. Pour the batter into a 9-inch pie plate that has been greased and floured. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the filling is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. 5. Let cool completely before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
