"Old Man's Peaches Poached in Wine" Ingredients: 6 ripe peaches, peeled and halved 1 cup dry white wine 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup water 1 cinnamon stick 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Instructions: 1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the wine, sugar, water, cinnamon stick, and vanilla extract. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 2. Add the peaches to the saucepan and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and the liquid has reduced slightly. 3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Serve warm or chilled.
